Ultrasonic insect/rodent repellers are small electronic devices that emit a high-frequency sound used to repel, injure, or eliminate domestic pests such as rodents and insects. (cockroaches, mice, rats, ants, etc)
Cockroaches are especially awful because they lay so many eggs and a full infestation can quickly get out of control. They’re primarily around water regions (lakes and oceans), but they’re known to be in hot, dry areas as well. (they also love kitchen areas and areas of the home food is occasionally littered).
The problem with typical pest control options is finding the source of the problem – this is where an ultrasonic pest repeller comes in handy!
Simply by plugging in the repeller into an electrical outlet, it’ll begin to produce super high-frequency sounds that is disruptive to all types of insects and rodents.
The sound supposedly causes a frantic emotion causing them to leave an area (in this case – your home), cause physical issues (such as seizures), and stop reproducing. The theory is that it confuses them forcing them to leave.
I’ll be honest – I don’t have sympathy for cockroaches. However I have no issues with mice as long as they don’t live in my home! I also feel bad about hurting them with traps and poisons so this seems like a much nicer way of getting them to leave. See It Here >
Studies have shown that they’re effective, but should be used a preventative device instead of an overall solution.
For full infestations you’ll probably need an exterminator since large numbers of rodents and insects are unlikely to leave completely.
From reading the overview online it looks to be safe; Kid-friendly, cruelty free.
At first I was afraid the high-frequency sound would bother my dog, but the buyers say that they: did not notice any changes in my cat’s behavior and does not seem to bother our dog.
Looks to be good news so far. Also the Amazon page says that you’ll receive 100% money back if you’re unhappy with your purchase.
