They used to be very expensive, but in recent years have really come down in price.
At the forefront of consumer wood chipper shredders is Earthquake (producer of TAZZ Chipper Shredders).

Inside the grinding chamber, it contains tri-hammer and j-hammers which allows it to dice through 3-inch thick branches or thick leaves.

The Tazz K32 comes 90% preassembled and is fairly easy to set up.
As a gas-powered chipper shredder it has a 0.95 gallon fuel tank and ripcord starter — some of the newer models have push-start, but they’re typically much more expensive.

The hopper opening stands 34 inches above the ground.
Buyers say it’s able to rip through bundles of leaves or branches 3-inches wide very quickly.
For branches larger than 3-inches, the K32 comes with a limb chute (pictured above) — It’s a little slower than the top grinding chamber, but a nice added feature.

Tazz K32 Chipper Shredder – Conclusion:
If you do a lot of gardening or logging, having a high-quality chipper is an important asset.
The K32 Chipper Shredder Tazz Viper 212CC is an excellent option for tis value, especially with the compact design and high-quality steel construction.
The three similar models, the K33, K42, and K52, are also good choices depending on how much torque you need.
